Deep tissue massage works by removing muscle tension and adhesions that often lie in the deeper layers of musculature. Because of this, your therapist will be using a good deal of pressure and may use hands, knuckles, forearms and elbows to address the muscle tightness.
After your deep tissue massage, we advise our clients to drink plenty of water ( we'll give you a bottle on the way out) and avoid excessively targeting the target muscles in the gym that day.
Deep tissue massage can be used as an injury prevention, or body maintenance strategy to stay on top of muscle tightness and pain.
Deep tissue massage is also beneficial in the treatment and management of many specific problems, such as chronic muscle pain, injury rehab or athletic recovery, Repetitive strain injuries ( RSI), Osteoarthritis, Postural difficulties, Tennis elbow, Sciatica, Limited mobility and Lower back pain.
Axiom Performance Recovery is known for effective deep tissue massage techniques for injury prevention and used as a part of many of our clients weekly, fortnightly, or monthly routine of body care.
Our therapists are highly qualified and professional, and will adjust the session to your specific needs.
